K

We had a blast while in Utah at Grandma and Grandpa Hymas' house! Here we are on the slip and slide in their back yard.

Easter 2011

Kimmy(right) and Abby(left) for Easter. Thanks to many family members, I now own a Canon REBEL. Amazing pictures! We have been a little picture crazed at our house. The girls are beginning to strike a pose whenever David or I have the camera out. Pretty funny. I will have to post the pose of Abby when David pulled out the camera - - she very cutely held her hands under her chin and gave a million dollar cuteness face. ADORABLE!

January Thankful List

I just saw my sister's blog and her "Thankful" list. It reminded me that I want to do one too, so here goes.

January Thankful List

1. Two precious daughters.
January 22nd, the girls turned ONE. It has been fast, yet fabulous! I love interacting with them and watching them as they go through new stages of learning.

2. 2 Snow Days.
Ok, technically this was the first two days of February, but I was still grateful for them. I got to hang out with my little family and drink hot cocoa. It was a record -20 degrees here in Colorado. And they say the windchill factor took it down to -30. Yikes! Yeah, we stayed indoors, no need for kidpopcicles.

3. Breakfast and Lunch - David style
My husband is amazing! He packs me a breakfast and lunch while I am getting ready for the day. He could be relaxing in bed, waiting till the girls are up, but he makes me breakfast. He is amazing! I love him!

4. Fabulous Friends and Family.
During visits with friends, they have supported me through some rough times. It has been a hard adjustment to Colorado for me and I am grateful for friends and family who care. I am on the uphill swing and feeling better all the time. Thank you!

Skirts from Aunt Chrissy

These adorable skirts were made by my sister, Christina. She surprised us for Christmas. She has been on a sewing frenzy for her daughter, Savannah. She was making these skirts while we were in Utah. I was even sitting in the room while she was making them and had no idea they were for Abby and Kimmy. Duh! We were chatting and I said, "Oh, those are so cute. Are those for Savannah's friends?" "Yeah," my sister replied. Boy did I feel silly when they opened them and I realized she had been making them for the girls. Aren't they cute?!

Here is Kimmy showing off her best moves. They would run back and forth from the kitchen to the living room like it was a model runway. Kimmy especially was hamming it up!

Abby and Kimmy Turn ONE!

Crazy! It is weird to me that the girls have reached the one year mark. Not that I didn't think they would - - just it has been fast. I look back at all their pictures from their first year and think - - YEAH - that's why I'm tired all the time. :)

We did carrot cake - cause Daddy is allergic to chocolate and we don't know if the girls are allergic. I really didn't want them ending up with an upset tummy AND a trip to the ER for chocolate allergy.

Here they are getting their first sugar overload.

Highlights of 2010

So for Christmas I made my mother and David's mother a calendar for 2011. I created a lot of collages and would like to share them here from 2010.

Yeah, it's a new year!

So, I have a few minutes while the girls are still sleeping and the house is quiet. I started looking on my blog and realized. Ugh! I haven't posted anything since July 2010. Then I realized - - yeah cause I wasn't working. That's why I could post.

Anyway, I want to post more and get my networking back up and going. Because with the exception of Christina, my sister, I really don't know what is going on in everyone's lives. I have been so caught up in my own drama (at work) that I have forgotten there are lots of you I have lost touch with.

I am going to check out your blogs and catch up. Here is a warning that I will be updating - - watch out for those of you signed up to get it directly to your email. :)

Lots of love!
Melissa
